SAN ONOFRE DECOMMISSIONING Impetus for forming the CEP – Reflects the co-owners’ desire to formalize engagement with the community – Considered an industry “best practice” by the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) – Similar panels formed at other decommissioning nuclear plants, including Maine Yankee and Zion 3

SAN ONOFRE DECOMMISSIONING Membership of the CEP – Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary 15 other members – All serve 2-yr (renewable) terms – SONGS co-owners wrote charter and selected which groups would be represented – The leaders of those organizations were invited to participate and all accepted 4
