Engineering 3 to Know 1. Indiana ranks 24% above the national average in concentration of Engineering careers and outpaces other states in growth of engineering jobs. 2. Need to fill 6,380 jobs by 2024 3. Average salary in Indiana: 76,052 (Bachelor’s Degree) Major Initiatives 3 to Show 1. This transfer program has dedicated articulation agreements with most Indiana Engineering Universities. Purdue, University of Southern Indiana, University of Evansville, Indiana State University, and Valparaiso 2. This program attracts transfer and second chance students at a high rate. 3. Strong enrollment in Engineering with 415 students. The Engineering program is one of the hardest programs of study at Ivy Tech. Starting this past fall semester, the program was changed to “restricted enrollment” – students must meet minimum remediation requirements. The increasing trend with employers is to place Ivy Tech Associate degree Engineering graduates as junior engineers and designers while then paying for subsequent school work at transfer Universities.
