Admissions Admissions Information – Students apply their Sophomore year – Upper division courses you will come in as a Junior – 2 year program (6 quarters) on Seattle Campus – Preparing students to take the NCLEX to become an RN (Registered Nurse) – We receive 550-600 applications a year

BSN Prerequisites BSN Program is upper division coursework You will complete 90 quarter credits before matriculation in the Fall Minimum 2.0 grade in each course

BSN General Prerequisites 2 English Composition courses (10 credits) College level math (5 credits) Statistics (5 credits) Individuals and Society (10 credits) Lifespan Psychology (5 credits) Visual, Literary, and Performing Arts (15 credits) Remember: You will come into the BSN as a Junior or a PostBac if you already have a BA/BS

BSN Prerequisites Natural World General Chemistry Organic Chemistry Human Anatomy Human Physiology Microbiology Nutrition Minimum 3 courses complete at time of application with cumulative prerequisite GPA – 3.0 If you have 4 or more complete courses, minimum prerequisite cumulative GPA – 2.8

Transcripts Holistic Review – Online vs In-Classroom courses – Expiration – there is no expiration but we recommend courses be current so students retain the information – Retakes – we take the higher grade if you retake a course Focus on trends – Are there a lot of withdrawals? – Did grades improve over time – Was there extenuating circumstances? (optional essay) Consistency

Healthcare Experience –For Fall 2021 Due to Covid-19, the school of nursing recognizes that safety is important to everyone that health care experience may be challenging or risky for applicants. For Fall 2021, hands-on health care experience will not be required. Applicants are expected to clearly understand the RN role.
