Our Mission Develop and promote partnerships between higher education, the private sector and public safety to enhance Indiana’s prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery capabilities for all emergencies, disasters, or threats.

Programs Campus: Indiana University Kokomo (IUK) Program type: Certificate (undergraduate, 15 credits) Program Name: Homeland Security/Emergency Management Projected Date of Implementation: Fall 2005 (Approved by the Indiana University Academic Leadership Council on 5/5/2005) Format: The professional development certificate can be completed as a stand alone certificate or could be completed as part of a number of degree programs at IU Kokomo. Students who enroll will be able to complete the certificate in the Indiana University Kokomo ACCELerated Evening College (AEC) in the hybrid course format. The hybrid format maintains 50% face-to-face instruction, with some face-to-face instruction deemed important by faculty and students, and takes advantage of state-of-the-art technology through delivery of 50% of the weekly instruction over the Web.
