Types of Programs All available Federal repayment plans are available, including loan forgiveness, for the loans listed below – Stafford Loan up to 20,500/yr. Interest accrues while in school. You have a 6 month grace period after you finish. Interest, while you are in school is variable and set each year. For 2015-16 it is 5.84%. – Federal Grad Plus Loans are also variable and fixed each year. The amount you can borrow is the difference of the budget minus any other loans/grants etc. A credit check applies. For 2015-16 it is 6.84% .
