Claim State or assert that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof. An assertion of the truth of something, typically one that is disputed or in doubt. A demand or request for something considered one's due.

Liability The state of being responsible for something, especially by law. A person or thing whose presence or behavior is likely to cause embarrassment or put one at a disadvantage.

Coverage The extent to which something deals with or applies to something else. The treatment of an issue by the media. The amount of protection given by an insurance policy.

Policy A course or principle of action adopted or proposed by a government, party, business, or individual. Prudent or expedient conduct or action.

Deductible Able to be deducted, especially from taxable income or tax to be paid. (in an insurance policy) a specified amount of money that the insured must pay before an insurance company will pay a claim.

Policyholder A person or group in whose name an insurance policy is held.

Insured Covered by insurance. A person or organization covered by insurance. The person, group, or organization whose life or property is covered by an insurance policy.

Premium An amount to be paid for an insurance policy. A sum added to an ordinary price or charge.

Insurer A person or company that underwrites an insurance risk; the party in an insurance contract undertaking to pay compensation.

Probability The extent to which something is probable; the likelihood of something happening or being the case. A probable or the most probable event. The extent to which an event is likely to occur, measured by the ratio of the favorable cases to the whole number of cases possible.

Insurance A practice or arrangement by which a company or government agency provides a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death in return for payment of a premium. A thing providing protection against a possible eventuality.

Risk A situation involving exposure to danger. Expose (someone or something valued) to danger, harm, or loss.
