BAILEY RULES 1. Cell phones & electronic devices are powered off and inside your backpack and placed inside your lockers! Electronic devices are NOT permitted in classrooms, hallways, or the cafeteria. If you have your cell phone on your person, it will be taken away and given to an administrator. Refusal to turn over the cell phone will be treated as insubordinate behavior. 2. No food or drink in classrooms or hallways. The only time food is permitted in classrooms is during breakfast! Water bottles are not permitted without a doctor’s note. 3. 4. 6. 7. Arrive to class on time & ready to learn! When the bell rings, you must be sitting in your assigned seat ready to learn. Never line up at the door or leave a classroom before dismissal! Please remain in your seat until you have been dismissed. Never line up at the door before dismissal. Remember, teachers dismiss you, not the bell. Use polite and appropriate language! Offensive, derogatory, and profane terms are not tolerated. In order to have a safe classroom environment where all students feel comfortable, no put-downs, swear words, or slang words with demeaning connotations will be accepted. Remember, if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it at all! Be respectful of yourself, teachers, and others while passing in the hallways! Pass on the right side of the hallway. Walk quietly in the halls. Keep your hands and feet to yourself as you pass in the hallways. 8. Respect yourself, teachers, & others! Show respect for your teachers, yourself, and others at all times. Respect others’ property. Avoid touching or writing on anything that does not belong to you (including desks, textbooks, teacher’s belongings, walls, chalkboard, etc.) Respect yourself and the Bailey community by wearing appropriate clothing. Wearing hoods, slides, open-toed shoes, do-rags, pants below your waist, and midriff shirts are not permitted at Bailey. Respect others and yourself by keeping your hands and feet to yourself at all times! BE A KIND PERSON!!!! Violation of Bailey’s School Rules Can Lead to Consequences!
