Application Process: Landlord vs Tenant Landlord Tenant Landlord starts process by registering (name, Tenant applies through landlord link OR number, email, W-9) applies on their own. Landlord then clicks add tenant and enters tenant name, address, phone number, and email. The portal emails the tenant, who can log in and complete the application. The landlord can see the status updates as the tenant is processed. If through landlord link, accounts are linked up immediately. If though own link, accounts are linked up at time of processing. 8

Low income: Under 80% Area Median Income o Households under 50% Area Median Income are prioritized in accordance with the federal mandate Renter in Pierce County (including City of Tacoma) Eligibility Requirement s Impacted by Covid-19: Written proof of loss of income, loss of job, and/or increased expenses as a result of the pandemic o Households unemployed for at least the last 90-days are prioritized in accordance with the federal mandate Have rental and/or utility arrears (at least 1-day) 9

Landlord Restrictions or Requirements Pierce County currently does not have any restrictions or special accommodations for landlords accepting rental assistance funding. Pierce County will align with any policy issued by Washington State Department of Commerce. 11
