The Dow: -The Dow industrials declined 45 points, or 0.3%, to 18099 on Thursday - S&P 500’s materials sector fell 0.5%, while the energy sector declined 0.7%. The S&P 500 dropped 0.3%, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 0.5%. -Havens gained Thursday, with utilities in the S&P 500 up 1.3%. Gold rose 0.3% to 1,255.00 an ounce, while the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note fell to 1.739% from 1.778% on Wednesday.
