What do your Summative Scores Mean. A Summative Score ranges from 1-4, which includes a combination of: Observations SGOs SGP The scores would yield a teacher’s performance for the academic year as follows: Ineffective Partially Effective Effective Highly Effective At the end of the academic year, you will have a meeting with your principal/supervisor to discuss your performance for the year.

After the Scores. Corrective Action Plan (CAP) For Ineffective & Effective CAP Scores: Meeting to set Goals for new academic year Teacher & Principal/Supervisor-create a plan to discuss what professional needs teacher needs to address Plan will be created with a timeline & goals teacher needs to meet A mid-year evaluation to discuss progress is scheduled

Professional Development Plan (PDP) ALL Teachers will have to create a PDP @ the beginning of the school year Must include 20 professional hours for the year Must include a teacher self-directed goals (based on discussed observations & district improvement goals) Teacher & Principal/Supervisor will hold a meeting to discuss the PDP

Incoming New Teachers New teachers hired after August 6, 2012 will need to meet the following criteria to be eligible for tenure. 4 years of teaching Mentorship program (only for 1st year of teaching) Must have Effective or Highly Effective ratings in 2 of the 3 last years
